Offline Installation

It is highly recommended you get drive.web savvy using the above hyperlink. However, on occasion it may be necessary to install savvy from some other media (e.g., a CD-R or USB flash drive). For offline installs, copy the following files to the media, extract the ZIP files (or mount the DMG disk image), and then run the appropriate setup file.

Windows Java Runtime Environment Offline Install
savvy Offline install for Windows (ZIP file)
savvy Offline install for OSX (DMG file)

OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Users

There is a well-documented bug in the OSX Leopard implementation of the Java Runtime Environment pertaining to menus. If you are running OSX 10.5 and the currently released savvy application unexpectedly closes, you more than likely have encountered this bug. This menu problem does not exist in the latest version of the operating system (OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard). Unfortunately, we have no timetable for when, or if, Apple will address this problem in earlier versions of OSX.

If you have experienced this problem, please notify us via e-mail using the Report Bug... feature of the Help Menu the next time you launch the savvy software. We are trying to determine the scope of this problem to facilitate a workaround.
