drive.web Technology Training

drive.web distributed control technology training courses are held regularly both in online seminars and at our factory. The courses vary in content and duration to suit different interests and abilities. Some courses can also be conducted at customer's premises by special arrangement.

The online courses are conducted for groups of up to 9 people. You will be able to participate in an interactive session via your browser and experience hands on use of the savvy software with live drive.web products.

Standard Online Courses Available:

Level 1

1 hour drive.web introductory seminar - no charge. Provides an overview of the drive.web distributed control technology and products and shows how to:

Level 2

3 hours, basic drive.web technology course ($200 per person). Includes a free savvy-SFD (Signal Flow Diagram) upgrade worth $198!

Covers basic function block configuration, signal flow diagrams, Ethernet networking, system safety and standard drive.web products with options:

Level 3

drive.web system design and application courses (level 2 course is a prerequisite).

Level 1 - Every Friday at 11:00 AM.

Level 2 - Second Friday of each month at 1:00 PM.

Level 3a - Third Friday of Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec at 1:00 PM.
Level 3b - Fourth Friday of Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec at 1:00 PM.
Level 3c - Third Friday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov at 1:00 PM.
Level 3d - Fourth Friday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov at 1:00 PM.

Self-Guided drive.web Tours

For the more independently minded, there are self-guided tours of the drive.web technology and products available under the "Help" menu in the savvy software. We strongly advise that you go through these guides in sequence to ensure that you don't miss any of the essential basics.

  1. Getting started with savvy: Finding your way around the basics of drive.web distributed control.
  2. Getting started with savvy-SFD: Using the Signal Flow Diagram concept to create systems.
  3. Savvy-SFD and the PL series drive: Introduces the concept of creating a graphical block diagram for a dumb drive.
  4. Basic Network Administration: This section of the User Manual in the savvy "Help" menu has 3 very useful guides to networking:
