SFD Viewers

With savvy-SFD capabilities, a graphical representation of the configuration within the drive.web device becomes available. Understanding the SFD Viewers is paramount to exploiting the features of SFD. From the Device Directory, clicking on any individual device will display the basic SFD Viewers (colors have been added to aid in locating the viewers).

Viewer Filter

The Viewer Filter (highlighted in magenta) gives the user a number of different options for displaying the information in both the FBE Viewer and the Device Viewer.

FBE Viewer

The Function Block Engine (FBE) is the platform on which drive.web function blocks execute. The FBE Viewer (highlighted in green) is a graphical listing of the contents of the drive.web portion of the user program. The available features depend on the drive.web options installed in the associated device.

Device Viewer

The Device Viewer (highlighted in red) is a graphical listing of the native function blocks for the associated device. In serial versions of the device, these function blocks are the only function blocks available.

Diagram Viewer

The Diagram Viewer (highlighted in orange) is the current graphical representation of the configuration as defined by the user. Note, the graphical representation does NOT necessarily include all active function blocks! It is only the presentation of the configuration as selected by the user.
