Stepper
Stepper 1
Description

Stepper1

Requires Stepper Drive Controller hardware options, dwOption-37 or dwOption-38. Produces a 5V, single-ended, square pulse output from smarty terminal T3 that is proportional to a speed demand input.

Also provides a position output proportional to the actual number of square pulses produced.

Availability
  • Available only in the dw2xx series products
  • Requires library: System & I/O
  • Requires: Stepper Drive Controller
  • Singleton function block
  • Firmware versions 0x201C and later

Parameters

Speed Input Input, Read-write, Analog (signed 16-bit integer)
-327.67 % to 327.67 %

Stepper1 - Speed Input

A setting of 100% will provide for an output frequency at T3 equal to Base Speed * Steps/Rev.

Base Speed Input, Read-write, Analog (signed 16-bit integer)
-32767 RPM to 32767 RPM

Stepper1 - Base Speed

The number of revolutions per minute for 100% Speed Input.

Base Revs Input, Read-write, Analog (unsigned 16-bit integer)
1 to 65535

Stepper1 - Base Revs

The number of revolutions to complete for Position Output = 100% .

Count 0 Internal Parameter, Read-only, Hexadecimal (unsigned 16-bit integer)
0x0 to 0xFFFF
Count 1 Internal Parameter, Read-only, Hexadecimal (unsigned 16-bit integer)
0x0 to 0xFFFF
Count 2 Internal Parameter, Read-only, Hexadecimal (unsigned 16-bit integer)
0x0 to 0xFFFF
Count 3 Internal Parameter, Read-only, Hexadecimal (unsigned 16-bit integer)
0x0 to 0xFFFF
Persistence Internal Parameter, Read-write, Boolean (signed 16-bit integer)

The Persistence parameter defines the behavior of the 64-bit internal count when the moduleis powered down. By default the internal count is reset to zero at power-up. If you would like thevalue to be stored at power down, change to Persistent.
0 = Clear on power-up
1 = Persistent
Steps/Rev Input, Read-write, Analog (signed 16-bit integer)
100 to 32767

Stepper1 - Steps/Rev

The number of steps that will rotate the motor through one revolution.

Reset Input, Read-write, Enumerated (signed 16-bit integer)

Stepper1 - Reset

Resets the Position Output to 0.00%.Position Output can be reset on the rising edge of the reset input at smarty terminal T7 with dwOption-37, Stepper Drive with Event Inputs. Set to Auto-Reset (T7) for this mode.

0 = Inactive
1 = Reset
2 = Auto-Reset (T7)
Position Output Output, Read-only, Analog (signed 16-bit integer)
-327.67 % to 327.67 %

Stepper1 - Position Output

Equals 100% when the motor has rotated forwards through the number of revolutions set in Base Revs since the last reset.

-32767 = - overrange
32767 = + overrange
Enable Input, Read-write, Boolean (signed 16-bit integer)

Stepper1 - Enable

When disabled, no pulses are produced and Position Output does not change.

0 = Disabled
1 = Enabled
